Breast Growth Spurt

My breast development has been slow and steady but I have heard of people having sudden growth spurts.  Is this just urban legend or is is a real thing?

Objective research shows next to nothing about growth spurts.

There is so much individual variation in breast growth, that any kind of study is extremely difficult to document.

Having said that, do you remember a few girls in high school who returned from summer vacation with MUCH larger breasts? I may be wrong, but I don't believe it was all due to padded bras.

My understanding is when they are sore they are growing...evidence seems to bare this out for me...every now and then I will really see my "girls" and it always surprises me when I notice they are bigger(lets not get carried away here either)...I stumble along not really noticing and then suddenly I go "Yup they really have grown" and that seems like it is sudden but it is not...If you asked me, I can't really see much in the way of changes to my body after 7 months on HRT but that is just not true...taking a tape measure to my body dispels that myth in a couple of seconds....I wonder if growth spurts are really "noticing spurts" in disguise ...just throwing it out there

Its not legend. Although mine never stopped and always remained sore, i went from a C cup last summer to a D cup by October. My wife looked at me in the mirror one morning and was like..." Wow your boobs are big! " so i raced to find a tape measurer and sure enough they had grown quickly. There are a few faint stretch marks as well.

I can't speak to growth spurts for breasts, but growth spurts are very real.  We all know the kid that grew 6 inches over the summer.  Here are some documented cases from basketball.  I think everyone's experience is unique.
