I'll apologize in advance to those woman that struggle with receding hairlines but I'm curious what others have done about a lower than ideal hairline.  My hairline is pretty square with a slight dip in the middle.  As I understand this dip is pretty typical of male hairlines, but I don't have the receding corners, they are actually pretty filled in.  As I can imagine, if I was to pull hairs in the middle I can obtain a pretty ideal U shaped typical of CIS female hairlines.  Has anyone done this?  Would it be advised to wait until future FFS procedures if that section of hair is required for some reason or another?

I've looked at a lot of CIS hairlines on the internet and they seem to be variant and not all perfectly U shaped.  Unless your hair is receding, I would recommend doing nothing except growing it.

Thanks Deborah, I am growing my hair but in the meantime I wear wigs...something else I should have mentioned is that the other difficultly with a lower than ideal hairline is that wigs look odd when they have to sit lower to hide my natural hair.  :(

A 2009 study conducted by Nusbaum and Fuentefria found that 81% had a widow's peak.

I had a hairline advancement done by Dr O back in 2003.  It made it better, but the hairs up front have always been wispy, so even though I know how to style my hair I have always been self-conscious when I pull my hair back.  I am planning on having another procedure later this year that should make it better.  I am going to see Dr. Mayer in LA, he has an intriguing flap technique.  While the videos are somewhat dated being made in the 90's (early 90's by the look of it), I have already talked with him about it, and I am going there in 2 weeks for a consultation.

I am making some big bets this year.  :)
