Day 2 of HRT.

Today i took my 2nd dose of hormones. I am on Estrofem and Androcur. The last 24 hours have been incredible. I never thought i would go through with this. I have got so close before then run away for months. This happened for years. This time last year i walked away from the Endos rooms before the appointment. This time was different. I really felt ready this time. I havent felt nervous or afraid at all to this point. I was so excited to take my first pills.

I so look forward to the time of the day that i take my hormones. I am so desperate to see the smallest change. Emotional or physical. It doesnt matter.

Transitioning has made me such a better person. I am fitter, healthier and happier.

Congratulations on starting HRT. You may notice emotional changes in as little as two weeks. You might notice things like rings around your eyes changing in a month or two along with breast sensitivity. In six months changes will be far more noticeable but it will depend on your genetics as to what you will see. For now, enjoy the moment and changes will happen soon enough.

Isn't it amazing?

I remember taking my first estradiol pill in the Walgreens parking lot on my way home from the Endo. That was 10 1/2 months ago and I couldn't wait for any kind of changes. Time was flying by in the meantime and I'm happier than I was ever before. Enjoy the ride, there will be lots of obstacles in the way but they won't stop you, they just make you stronger.

Congratulations!!!!

My first little pill went down in a Walmart parking lot. About 5 minutes later, it felt like a switch went on in my head, and I heard myself say 'this is what I have been missing my whole life'. And little did i know then, I was exactly right...

Drugs, alcohol, adrenaline, all had been tried in my search for 'peace', but there it was, all along, in a little greenish blue pill, waiting for me to find it...

The rest is history..

Congratulations, Davina!  We started at the same time: I, too, am on day 2.

I can't say for sure that I feel anything yet, but I am happy to begin this journey.  My brain feels smoother today, like the difference between driving on a gravel road and then hitting pavement.  Might be my imagination, but I like it.

Thanks so much for the wonderful support. I still cant come down from my cloud. Its an amazing feeling.

On a different note: Can anyone tell me if i can lose my libido and erections from Androcur in such a short space of time. Because it sure has happened to me. . Not that i am complaining. Love the fact that i cant get erections and have no libido.

I have the same calmness. No usual pain, so much so that I have to pinch myself. I can't remember the last time I was free from pain and despair lol.

Congrats to all you girls who start HRT more or less at the same time as me. Evelyn you put it so right. The pain in my groin area that has caused so much discomfort for me in my life is almost gone. It will only be completely gone when i have SRS.

In the meantime, i can feel i am more girly evryday.

How are you all doing? My initial first week effects (hot flushes and epic fatigue) have subsided. I'm going for a blood test this coming week, and pending that my endo will advise and up my spiro.
The calmness has persisted, which I'm so happy about. But I feel the euphoria can be more easily broken with my ongoing life difficulties. Still, I'm much happier than before! ❤️👯

I think there is a bit less "static" in my head, but the change is pretty subtle.  My nipples were tingling/sore a couple of days ago.

Congrats on all of you starting that wonderful journey that is HRT. I started many years ago and I still love every day of being a woman.

I remember waking up to my second day of hrt with sensitive (Not painful) nipples and morning sickness. I got my HRT via injections and after the first 3 injections I had morning sickness.. after that my body got use to the E running through my veins.
