T has made me NEED to exercise?

So I'm 3 weeks on T and have showed small signs of changes but one I can't figure out is my urge to workout. I like feel restless if I don't act on it and the desire will just popup again throughout my day. I can't figure out if this is T or just another desire to get fit like normal.
Has anyone else had this experience?
It hasn't been bad but I don't want it to go away because I like working out but have a hard time sticking to a routine. I'm thinking if this is a normal experience then maybe I won't quite on working out so easily.  :(

Welcome to the site.

I am not positive. However, I am pretty sure I have heard some of the guys talk about increased energy when starting on T. Not sure if that is what you are talking about? I also don't know if it levels out or stays.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment to:

I'm pretty lazy but I do feel more of an urge to get up and do physical things.

When I was younger, I had several men (young and old) tell me that men liked doing hard physical labor and working out. It was an urge that couldn't be ignored, unless one was a "city slicker." It was a stronger urge than "get fit like normal", it was a desire to get sweaty and intensely physical.

Loading boxcars with 100 lbs sacks of peas or lentils, playing football (pronounced "FOOTBAAAALL!!"), strong manly stuff...I never understood that thought process, but I pass it on to you.

...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Yeah the first month or so I felt this huge surge of energy and restlessness. It almost felt like I was on a constant caffeine high but slightly stronger. So I started excercising more but then lost enthusiasm for it. A combination of low self esteem, depression and my body slowly becoming accustomed to that extra energy so not really feeling the effects anymore. Now I've just gotten back into excercise again and feel that same energy and restlessness again; even though I am in no way fit.

You might want to check out my recent post about excercise.

I have more energy on T. If I don't use it regularly, I get anxious and I'm not all that fun to be around. Running works pretty well though, and it's been good for my mental health in general.

I never have a motivation to go to the gym though I need to but I have a TON of energy when I used to have none which has me being much more active in general. I think I'd do better at the gym if I knew what I was doing ;(

Same but I'm really not interested in becoming a gym expert. I want to feel better about my body and if I lose weight that's a bonus. So I just use the treadmill for 20 or so mins (which also gets rid of that restlessness feeling). I also do a bit of weights as I hear that'll make the results from top surgery better; but I don't particular enjoy doing it so am not particularly stringent at it. Anyway; my mantra is go to the gym; burn off some energy; try to look like I know what I'm doing and try not to be intimidated by the other gym users  ;)

Thanks y'all, my energy has actually gone down considerably since working a couple day in a row and having some generally busier days. I haven't felt the need to workout per-say but I don't think being sedentary for a whole day is possible for me anymore. Well I'm going to keep up this working out think for as long as possible just because it feels good.

So after taking another shot I noticed that I NEED to exercise again. I'm thinking when I shoot up, I get that desire again. However, I'm doing subQ once a week so it may very well be placebo.

I got this same effect and I'm on gel. It became less noticeable after a few weeks.

When I was first starting T my doctor did mention that I would probably experience a very profound change in energy levels early on. So that may be what you're experiencing. Mine didn't really kick in until a few months on.

Finding myself needing to get outside and move about, fresh air, sunshine etc. It's cold as balls out there but for some reason I have to do it. Feeling cooped up in the house now, which was definitely not something I cared about before T much. The last time I remember feeling antsy like this was as a kid. I was an outdoors kid, never liked to sit around watching TV.

I just find I can't sit or stand still. At work I am always pacing the office, bouncing, rocking etc. I want to hit the gym and work on bulking but with 60+ lbs to lose I am focusing on diet and basic walking etc...
