Saying none of us is a loaded statement.  I personally have had vellous hairs starting to become normal hairs again and it has only been 4 months on Avodart.  If Spiro caused that much hairloss in 70% of the people here, then I would say yes however most have noticed hair growth instead.
Another thing you have to keep in mind is that in order for hair to grow a shedding phase has to happen.  Has to.  A lot of people will go on Propecia or Avodart and freak out and assume it is not working.  It takes at least a year to know what i going on.  I am going through a shedding phase now and while it is unnerving, it should stop very soon and frankly I see the new hair now.

People tend to assume their experience is be all end all.

Dean, I've been tolerant till now, and I see your pain.
But, your info is blantantly false.
I'd be surprised you got an actual study to back it up.
Go see a doctor to see if your hair loss is androgen related.
No anti-androgen treatment will work if its not what causes the hair loss.

Spiro/Avodart/Finesteride can causes shedding for 4-6 months, but all I've seen is positive experience online for people who rode it out.

Shedding is not a good indicator, a photograph with no flash taken outside is the best evaluation.

A diuritics don't cause hair loss, it actually don't change much in your body, except maybe your electrolyte levels will go down slightly and you'll retain less water. That has no physiological impact if you drink anough water. If you take estrogen, which is the opposite of a diuritic (water retention), you'll actually balance out spiro's effect and stay at your normal weight.

I wouldn't consider "bryan of hair loss help" a valid source.  As such your claim has just about as much basis as the statement I'm about to make that spiro causes people to drink blood.

You forget to mention, you take Spiro ONLY.  Another thread already addressed the dangers of eliminating one sex hormone (testosterone) and not replacing it with another (estrogen).  That your hair is falling out when no one else's is, might have something to do with that.
