hi. new to this great site. live in ny and have been struggling to find a hair restoration specialist in mtf restoration. lots of my own left, but the dreaded T has left its mark with the male pattern loss thing. my endo guy isn't giving me a referral, so searching. ty for any help.btw....-hrt over 2yrs now.

Where are you in NY? The state or the city? I am in the state and have the same problem with hair on my head but not really enough left. I am only asking where you are to see if someone could suggest a place to visit.

I'm on Long Island.
You would think it wouldn't be this difficult to find someone by the biggest city in the world....
I don't mean to violate any terms of service or anything like that....hope this question doesn't do that...hopefully maybe someone that's been down this path before us can even just give a zip code or something to look in....not looking for medical advice...just if anyone knows someone that specializes in this thing....would be willing to travel the continental US if I had too...thanks....oh yeah....been to some glbt meetings....no help there either....

I just did a google search for hair restoration long island, ny and had a number of hits pop up. Most are not much further than NYC.

thank you alll so very much for the warm welcome and offered advice....been to a couple places...but, well...no luck so far..i know i cant be to only girl in the world that has had to face this..so just hoping that maybe someone regionally local or something that did have it done might just say hi............. 
found one in miami and one in toronto that maybe might be able to do something...and sure don't want to travel to thialand jus for hair grafting.....hoping for a contact maybe more local - so still looking....and again - thank you soo much for the warm welcome..   peace an love to you      thanx     K-

Did you try a search using the words Hair Restoration Long Island, NY?

I have had a number pop up. There is one even a mile from where I live in Central New York.

I am not sure you will find one that specializes in MTF. Perhaps I am mistaken. However, there are many with multiple treatment options that pop up.

I know the place near me works with the trans community. They are fully aware of our needs. Perhaps another member knows from personal experience if there are such specialized services. I think most just work with medically prompted hair loss and male and female pattern baldness.
