Hi everyone,

I'm Tom, I'm 24, a trans man and live in London. Been medically transitioning since 2009 however NHS delays and a botched top surgery mean I'm currently fighting to finish transition.

I'm in the process of arranging a top surgery redo with a competent surgeon and then will be looking at lower surgery options.

Outside of transition I'm currently training in Public Health and Social Science. I'm engaged to my partner who is also a trans guy and who is currently working on his History and Anthropology dissertation.

I've joined up here after years of lurking to try and find a friendly, low drama trans support forum. until 're gently I was a member of some UK based trans masc Facebook groups but found the culture to be one of toxic masculinity and thats not what I'm about.

Anyways, nice to meet you all!

Hey; about to turn 23 and also from London :). Btw; which surgeon did you go too? I'm needing to get round to researching surgeons.
They/them pronouns preferred.

Hello fellow London human!

I went to Caty Milroy at St Georges. Her results really vary from person to person, with me she left about 2-4 inches of excess skin on each side and didn't resize my nipples. She claimed she could do a peri variation and get good results. I was a D cup, should never have been done, she's done it to others too. I can still fit in an a cup bra so it looks more like a reduction.

I've spoken to Andrew Yelland who did my partner (looks amazing) and he wants to totally redo it as a DI. So I'd recommend him, tho he does have a bigish waiting list. There's also Kershaw and Janet Walls that seem to get consistently good results. Finally Miles Berry in London does greAt work but only does private. Hope that helps!
