Hi ladies I'm brand new to this site but have been researching ffs for years. I live in NYC and hard to believe there's no ffs presence here. Mt Sinai hospital just started a tg dept and they claim Dr DiM does surgeries in NYC on their site. But when I called there yesterday they said not till late 2017 . Anyone hear this also? I can't afford to travel to BA and I am afraid of all the info overload and PS's just willing to cut into you for money with no exp with forehead contouring in NYC.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide!

PS it's not clear to me how to upload a profile pic. So I'd be grateful if someone could help.

I don't know if it is true, but it would be very nice thing if it were..

I am also in need of MDM's skills, but if I have to, I will swim to Buenos Aires before I will give up. Rather fly, to be honest, but yeah, money is tight!

TigerLilyNYC,

Welcome to the site.

I have heard similar information about Mt Sinai as well. I had heard of a few procedures going on in NYC through a visiting surgeon. I think it was not facial though. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment to:

Isn't he affordable for forehead type 3 reconstruction?

Yes, but I think his prices are much higher when he's in the US.

I had FFS with Dr. DiMaggio in Buenos Aires (a year ago) and money was tight for me, too. My circumstance was a bit unfortunate, so the entire trip cost me around $2,600, but it could have been much cheaper:

- Reserving a plane ticket ~6 months in advance is about $600.
- You can rent a place for four weeks, in DiMaggio's recommended neighborhoods, for about $700. Maybe even less. These are places that include utilities and internet.
- Food and travel expenses for four weeks are probably about $200-500, depending on you. I remember taking a taxi across the city was something like $5 for me, and I spent, at most, $50 a week on groceries.

I could definitely see someone getting by on $1,600.

If you're wondering why my trip was much more expensive, it's because I set it up with a companion in mind. I ended up buying a two week out plane ticket around their schedule ($1,300), a fancyish flat in the party district for 6 weeks ($1,000), and the rest went to food - which I bought at the very expensive grocer nearby - as well as taxis.

I imagine that DiMaggio would charge more than usual for surgeries done state-side. You may end up saving money by going to Buenos Aires, but I honestly don't know. I didn't have a clue that he did surgeries in the US, so anyone's guess is really as good as mine.

I hope it all pans out for you.
Why do I always write such incredibly long posts?
