Update: So far 4 Lawyers have turned me down. So far still I cannot get the Police Inspector to respond.
I had to go to the police chief in San Francisco just to find out who my case was assigned to. A week has gone by and no responses. The Hospital Admin wont call me back (they did call once). This whole thing is being covered up it seems. There is footage of me being attacked but its on Hospital Cameras.
I can only show medical negligence on my camera. I tried to record but they took the camera away and tried to smash it as well. I can see now I have a lonely road to travel, yet I don't think its right for any woman to face this alone so next week I am headed to the community to reach out to other women who may have been attacked by hospital workers as well as just simply reaching out in person and spreading the word.
I am also planning on visiting the Inspector in person. Someone at the office (not him) had looked at the time on the tape from when I was admitted to discharge, except it happened way after discharge and I even told them when the police came to visit me in the hospital.
I have set up Twitter and YouTube under #SuperGirlsForJustice under my name Strickalator
What I really need now is to know where to go from here?
1. Where can I get emotional support and trauma support? Nothing was ever offered to me after I was assaulted. It was like I didn't matter, just in and out of E.R. and each time a social worker saw me, they did nothing, except one who sent me to a women's shelter (which turned me down and said I was in too much pain to stay)(not that I needed to stay at a shelter). It was really disheartening to see the kind of treatment the medical and police can do here under bad circumstances (plus the ten year storm had arrived)
2. So far I have a list of attorneys from a few places including the Transgender Law Center, but what I need is a real go getter, feminist attorney that is familiar with women getting (especially transwomen) a raw deal from the system. I need someone who can get hospitals to cooperate and law enforcement. Some one who realizes this is a horrible and rare thing to happen to one of San Francisco's Residents.
3. What really bothers me the most right now is that these people are free...still working...not charged with a crime and a threat to other people. What really bothers me is that I have been destroyed in my body on a walker but no one wants to get involved.
4. Any and all support/suggestions are welcome at this point. God Bless you my brothers and sisters.
