I was also considering Gel but the high price tag and low benefit rate vs injection really pushed me to do the injection route. I was also concerned about mood stabilization and energy peaks and drops so I talked to my doctor and told her I wanted to do once a week. I feel really satisfied knowing that there is a good stable level in my body that never gets TOO low or TOO high. Somewhere I thought I read that SubQ has a more consistent longterm absorption rate than IM. I went with SubQ partially to make sure T was being consistently leached over the course of the week instead of quickly in the beginning and none by the end of the week.

low benefit rate vs injection

There is absolutely no difference in terms of masculinization between gel and injections. This is a myth.

Gel seems to be doing its job pretty quickly on me

I meant low benefit as in there are non over injection. They work the same one just doesn't have needles.

I chose gel, because I figured injections (though cheaper) would mean a drop in levels before the next shot, and lack of control over the dosage. I'd have figured that would be advantageous. What are the reasons some of you prefer shots? Convenience?
I am currently on gel, but going on injections in March. I hate the fact that I have to put it on every day and sit there to let it air dry for a few minutes. For me, gel costs $60 for one month and that is WAY more expensive than shots. With gel, I feel like I have to schedule things around my application. I can't workout for a while after, sweat a lot, get wet, or let anyone get all touchy feely. With shots, you don't have to worry about transferring it to anyone or wasting it on your clothes.

I am 5 years on testosterone and I still don't have all the changes I was expecting. I am beyond frustrated and have not come across anyone having my experience until I came across this thread. I am currently using Rogaine to help my facial hair come in which has been working. Here is my before T and after T.   I also have a video up about my lack of facial hair.
