Awkward, but good experience

Hello All,

I recently went to a Target store and purchsed several pirs of panties and some pantyhose.  I went late in the evening and had planned on using the self checkout line, but alas they were closed.  I ended up going through one of the regular checkout lanes.  I was pleased that there was very few customers around.  As the cashier was scanning my items, she was very nice and polite, however I was having a hard time deciding which one of us was more uncomfortable.
All in all it was a good experience though.

The chances are she didn't bat an eyelid...would not have remembered you 10 minutes later...Take heart...most don't notice, very few care and none of them are brave enough to usually be really rude... I went through Target the other day and bought a nice dress and matching sandals. I used my gift card to purchase which was one of those with "Happy Fathers Day" written on it LOL never noticed or just simply didn't care...I never even thou8ght about it.

I have found WE are usually more nervous and at the end of the day, our money is still green.  I have found I am my own worst enemy when coming to shopping but lately I have rather enjoyed it.  I don't even mind returning things I purchased on-line and needed to return.  Just the other day I went to Macy's to return a top and she did not even bat an eye.

I worked in retail for years, and when men would come in and buy ladies' clothing I always just assumed they were buying it for a significant other or something, and I think that's the common assumption.  Happened often and I never thought anything of it. And in case you were dressed as your true self (you didn't specify), well, ladies need their underthings!  It's 2017. Any problem any cashiers might have is more a reflection on them than you.

I went into the men's fitting rooms at a shop recently to try on 2 blouses, a pair of jeggings and some men's jeans. The attendant was giving me strange looks but that might have been bcos I was hurriedly trying to take the clothes out of the shopping basket as I didn't know you couldn't take it in with you . I assume I was forgetten about as she probably has dozens of customers to see to a day; plus it's probably commonish to have come across crossdressers before.

I buy a all my clothes and panties at he local store and I have yet met any cashier to make any rude comments. I even had Walmart cashier (an older lady) tell me,
"You will look cute in that blouse"

Other customers on the hand can be rude.

I've started shopping at Kohls recently and have always had good experiences. I dress in women's clothes (but no make-up or bra). Once the sales floor person realizes I am shopping for me, the questions usually shift from "What does your wife like?"  to "What do you like?" On more than one occasion I have been directed to the ladies fitting room (there's no mistaking me for a woman) which was a real shock. This is not to say I haven't been brushed off, but I have been brushed off dressed in male clothes shopping for men's clothes.
