Ok weird one (as always)

I think I just pee'd in spite of the catheter.

I was having a bowel movement which was significant but no splash. I have urine all around the tube  where it becomes visible outside my body and running down it. Also the undeniable colouration in the water. I was that busy focussing on the other end I didn't pay any attention to urination as y'know that part always just takes care of itself in those times.

Wasn't until I cleaned myself I thought huh I shouldn't have had to clean there yet.

I did still have an addition to my bag (which I'd emptied, flushed and washed my hands before sitting ofc) but I'm guessing the catheter can only handle a certain level of flow then something stretches that little bit more to let me pee normally if my body demands it.

Didn't think that could happen but there we go.

You can pee around the tube. I leaked the entire time I had the damn thing

Thanks Mszoey for replying and sounds particularly unpleasant. We're it not coinciding with my body's natural impulses I would have considered it just a leak too.

For a straight leak it sounds like they should have injected more saline into the bulb or reseated it.

I went all research girl after my post.

I think Dena is probably spot on with me just being a wee bit ahead of the healing schedule.

Will talk more to nurse tomorrow.

Who knows if I'm lucky maybe I'll get it out early for my body good behaviour.

Good. Was worried I'd end up with the bulb working it's way through and getting stuck lol

My body can be quite persistent if it wants to do something itself ;)

Ya that's what mine looked like to lol

But ya like I said it's normal. Your catheter could be a little small now the swelling is coming down

I am now 9 days postop and my catheter still feels really tight. No chance of me peeing around it atm.

Bladder definitely back to normal. I can play a silly game of push and pull  with an air bubble in the pipe as I use my bladder to squeeze and extend.

I don't see the game catching on anywhere.

Hey Ssneha that sounds really uncomfortable.

If it hurts from over inflation (unique by your own sizes but guessing everyone gets 10ml or whatever as a default) they can remove some of the fluid from the bulb I would expect. At least in theory.

Normally I'm that busy I hardly ever get around to peeing. You know that funny way you get home from work at night and laugh about going for the pee you put off that morning. I've probably got a bladder the size of a football lol

Wonder if the catheter is messing with my thirst as I'm drinking and passing about 5-6 litres a day but probably good for flushing out stuff but I better pop out and pick up some electrolyte mix if they insist on waiting until Tuesday though now I think about it.
