I just got my 8 month blood work back, and my total Testosterone was at 1888ng and Testosterone Free was 447.5pg two days before my weekly shot was due. My estradiol was at 65pg though, and I'm still seeing continued changes.

At 2 months on T my total Testosterone was 599ng, and testosterone free was at 147.3pg a day before my shot was due.

The nurse practitioner is recommending I drop my dose in half. My biggest concern is that I'll have to deal with a return of something that will cause extreme dysphoria. I've been premenopausal for a few years, so I'm kind of thinking that it may just be a temporary spike.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Your levels were that high 2 days before your short was due?? That seems a little crazy. I would re-do the test on the same day of your shot cycle and try it again. That is well out of the male reference range for T. I'd re-do the test and see what it comes back with before I'd do anything else.

Your E is outside the male reference range though, so I would guess that regardless of where/how the T ultimately looks, you will probably need to reduce your dose as some of that is most likely converting to E.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the nurse practitioner, but I went ahead and reduced the dosage on my last shot, and the acne is back with a vengeance already. It's like when I first started on T, so I'm guessing the hormone levels are balancing back out to what they should be.
