Is there a "trick" to oily skin?

So I seem to go through periods of being really oily and other times not. I know so much of it is the food I eat but other times it seems like its very much T related.
Right now all I am doing is making sure I shower every day or at most every other day to keep on top of oiliness. However, even on days I do shower like today, my skin is back to a gross oil slick by bed time. I use a good face wash and that helps my face stay dry all day but my chest and back are unmanageable.
Is there some secret body wash that keeps the grease at bay for a few more hours?

Again, I know so much of it is food related but I try desperately to stay off the wheat, sugar and dairy train.

I find my oily skin problem went away after a few months on T; maybe 4ish months; hard to remember. I used charcoal soap which helped massively but I had to use moisturising cream afterwards as it keft my skin that dry and it didn't do much to help the acne.

Best of luck to you.  Some people just get stuck with oily skin.  As a man mine was oily.  There is no secret body wash.  My back was constantly breaking out because of it.  It does help to try wash up before bed so you are not stewing in it overnight.

I only seem to get the oil on the face but just wiping with a tea tree toner only seems to deal with it for me. I guess it would work on the body too.

Not that I've found. I was oily before T, and I'm oilier on T. Diet changes don't seem to have any effect, nor does drinking more water.

I use a Japanese face wash and body wash and both of them seem to reduce the rate at which it accumulates, but they don't get rid of it altogether. Gatsby Mandom Charcoal Face Scrub is the face wash and Shiseido Sea Breeze Super Cool & Deodorant is the body wash.

The smell of the body wash is an acquired taste, but it doesn't seem to cling to the body too much. It just makes my bathroom smell like aloe for hours.

I was oily and I got even oilier on T (although my face has actually gotten a bit less oily, go figure).
I was daily with just a washcloth and warm water. If you put soap on it, your skin will get more dried out, and it will then give a signal for it to be even more oilier, to compensate.

Keeping that in mind should help.
