Question about HRT and nipple sensitivity

I'm considering HRT, but I wanted to ask about the increase in tactile sensitivity, especially in the nipple area.

As a male, I enjoy massage, and being touched almost anywhere - except my nipples. The reason is that it's painful - that is, a light touch I hardly feel at all, and anything more just hurts. There's no "sweet spot" in terms of pressure that feels good. I know that there are some men who really like this (and some who have piercings there), but I do not. Similarly, I know that for some women, touching nipples is never pleasurable, but I have heard that that for most women it can be.

My question is whether this is likely to change with HRT. I know that it is different for every woman, so I won't assume that my experience would be the same as yours, but I'd be curious to hear what your experience has been.

It would be really nice if HRT would let me enjoy being touched in that way. What can I expect?

Mine went from being essentially insensitive (not at all erogenous) to very receptive to touch and seemingly wired to my shenis clitoris.

I used to have one nipple pierced but abandoned that piercing years ago, it made it a little bit more sensitive but not greatly. And being into s&m I've been subjected to some fairly strong nipple torture (clamps etc) which was if course about pain sensation, not sensuality. However I don't think I'd enjoy that now with their extreme sensitivity.

I am six weeks into HRT, and my nipples are really, really sensitive.  Any touch or movement is painful.  I had to start wearing a sports bra last week just to protect them.  I assume that this is a result of the growth phase of HRT.  It is too soon to tell what the long-term sensitivity will be.

I am in my third month of HRT and in a similar situation as KathyLauren. I have to wear a padded something due to the growth induced sensitivity. Nipples have become a whole lot more sensitive to a light touch. Harder touch easily flips into pain.  While I can still touch / massage my breasts any kind of bump causes discomfort. It is much better with padding around it.

Hi Tasha,

I am 3 months into HRT and my boobs are growing (not quite able to fill an A yet) My nipples however have had no change other than persisting to point the way. Pre HRT my nipple would produce a pleasant tingling felt at the nipple and curiously behind my knee. With HRT, this has not changed. It is nice but not orgasmic. As I haven't a significant other I have no idea how oral stimulation might feel now but I'd love to find out.  LOL

  Hugs,
    Jeanette

I'm three and a half months into HT and have noticed no change in sensitivity or appearance. As they say, YMMV.

All the best,

Show of hands, though! Who enjoys "the jiggles" when on stairs?  ;D  <raises hand>

Noticed the "juggling" started about a week ago. Made me smile and bounce all day long...

The jiggling kinda feels good like a massage on these aching girls when I go down the stairs... (raising both hands). I noticed too that it's more pronounced wearing a bra? Right? They're sticking just that much further out.

I am at 6 and half months roughly on hrt and my nipples go through phases of feeling normal and then feeling extremely sensitive.

I'm sitting at 8 months now.  Mine got sensitive within the first week.  My nipples puffed up and the areola started noticably expanding by the end of week 2.  They have remained sensitive almost continuously since.  They don't ache typically, but sometimes they do and are itchy.  I'm a solid B cup at this point.  I just noticed a few stretch marks begining to show on the left breast.  I am genetically predisposed to larger breasts based on my family.  As always YMMV.

At 2+ yrs my nipples have completely changed. They are a primary area that i like to be touched now.

  (Jealousy rears it's ugly head)

I would prefer you not be jealous.  Especially over something one has no control over.  I understand the comment is likely sarcasm, but it still doesn't make me particularly comfortable.  Some will read things like that and be truly jealous.  It makes sharing uncomfortable.  We refer to it as the genetic lottery for a reason.  My rapid response to estrogen has made my transition go faster than I would have wanted.  I rather would have taken a slower and more steady approach, but the issue was forced by male fail.  I love the changes but they come with their own set of challenges.

Hugs,
Amber
