Post-OP HRT Effect On Fat Redistribution, Breast Growth and Body Hair

Hey y'all!

Here's a question... With my SRS coming up in 4 months, I'm getting anxious and such. I've been on HRT for the last 18 months, and things are progressing nicely. Breasts are there, the ass is getting bigger and my typical masculine beer-belly (yuck) has slowly taken a more feminine form, with the fat moving towards a love-handle type abdominal fat.

But, I'm not there yet and still want that coveted hourglass-figure. Lately I've been inquiring into post-SRS changes in fat redistribution with my healthcare professionals and other trans-people and there seems to be a consensus that the body might go through another feminization swoop after SRS. For instance, my laser therapist has reported a positive effect of SRS on the amount of hair that comes back, my therapist told stories about breasts starting to grow again after the big OP etc etc...

In any way. I'm 31 years old and would like very much to know what life has in store for me. Sadly, I don't own a TARDIS so I'll have to wait this out. But since I'm so so curious in nature; what's your take on this all? How did your bodies change post-op??

Thanks!!

PS: Yes I'm a total Doctor Who fan and am eagerly awaiting the start of Series 10! Ok, I'm anticipating SRS a bit more, hihi.  ;D

I had my SRS in 2005. The months that followed, I actually experienced the opposite. Increased facial and body hair growth, breasts shrinking to almost nothing and feeling worse. Slowly, after a year or so, things began to improve as I gradually increased my estrogen to a dose much higher than pre-op. I was also taking mostly Androcur pre-op as my anti-androgen. Years later, and mind you my HRT has changed and been modified several times since, I find my overall appearance is indeed softer, more feminine, body hair MUCH less, breasts still small and certainly not larger relative to pre-op. Hourglass shape, only slightly but good enough for me. :) At the moment, I'm on an aggressive HRT (E injections + Estrogel, oral progesterone and a dab of T).
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Hi LiliFee!  :)

I did not experience any significant changes post-SRS.  Well, not that I can tell, given my HRT schedule didn't change afterwards, not to mention have BAS at the same time.

Almost two decades down the road, having put on significant weight since, I'm not happy with how much my belly grew (with not nearly enough in my derriere, though the weight gain definitely helped my breasts), to the point where strangers were asking me when I was due. So once I get back to my target weight I'll be looking into getting a BBL.

What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

Since being on some T post-op, I find I'm losing some inches off my waist and I'm fitting better into my clothes, it's more tight. If anything, my body is looking more female. :)

4 months post-op...

- I have less hair than when I began. It will probably take a year to be back to the pre-SRS state

- I got a fudgeton of facial hair after it, but everything is thinner / almost transparent and really slow growth. Only three thick black hairs since then.

- Boobs are the same, or the bra does not feel tighter. I recovered my pre-SRS size at one month of resuming SRS

- Body Fat: Can't say. I got fat after SRS and until I get to my pre-SRS weight, I won't be able to compare. I'm noticing more fat accumulating in the Mons Veneris, though.

Well .. yes I gained a lot of weight.. like 60 pounds after srs.. crazy. Your body is a woman now, so things don't happen like they did when you had testosterone . I'm curvey yes, hips spread .. body hair reduce a little bit more as well ... Slower growth too .
