Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Way to go both of you. Getting involved and advocating for all of us.

I saw Michelle's post last night and look online for something happening here in Portland and could not find anything scheduled. That is a surprise to me as Portland has several LGBTQ+ events a year.

Jeanette, the TDoV tends to be a pretty small event.  Visibility is not something most of us aspire towards, but the event is being celebrated in a few places to both remind the world that we are here and are just human beings, not to be feared, and more importantly in my opinion, to remind those that remain hidden away, even from themselves, that times are slowly changing, and it is possible that they may find their true selves someday soon.

Rachel Crandall founded the TDoV in 2009 as a reaction to the lack of LGBT holidays celebrating transgender folks, from frustration that the only trans 'holiday' was the Transgender Day of Remembrance where we mourn those lost to violence in the past year.

I was hoping that my little piece may just aahelp make the difference for someone. After seeing my mug on the video they must realise that you can do it....drag them kicking and screaming into the light..so maybe not kicking and screaming but you get the idea..
