Something to think about.

If it weren't for all the noteriety and publicty would we have the high profile we have now?  In many areas seeing or interacting with transexuals is so far out of their realm of thinking that they do not notice.  Its the "it would never happen here" attitude that lets us function day to day with out notice.

I think the publicity is good for the transsexual in transition because then it's viewed as more common than somebody might expect, but perhaps for the post-op tanssexual it may not be as nice because they may want to remain stealth and people may start to scrutinize a little more when interacting with somebody.
