How many sessions can you pack in a visit? I saw a thread from another forum and post from here saying you can do up to 20+ hours in one trip spread out through 2 days. Is this true? Or do they estimate how many hours it'll take to clear your face the first time? I just want to know what's the fastest way to go about it. I know you need a certain amount of hours to have your face permanently cleared but can they you go Example

QuoteSession #1 - 22.5 Hours - $2,646.50 (Two tech - 1.5 days)
Session #2 - 10.5 Hours - $1,102.50 (Two tech - 1 day)
Session #3 - 14.25 Hours - $1,503.60 (Two tech - 1 day)
Session #4 - 10 Hours - $960.90 (One Tech - 1.25 day)
Session #5 - 7.5 Hours - $619.65 (One Tech - 1)
Session #6 - 9 hours - $1,053.40(One Tech - 1.25 day)
Session #7 - 5 hours - $557.15 (One Tech - 0.75)
Total 78.75 Hours to Date
Or does everyone's face take a different number of hours to clear each visit?

I believe each session is a clearing however however the total hours required will depend on what you start with. A corse beard has fewer hairs per square inch and should clear faster than a normal beard. After each session, it will take several weeks before you can go back of another session. E3000 is very good if you don't want to be constantly growing hair for treatment but I suspect you can get similar results with two hour sessions twice a week.

THIS!  Exactly.  Two 2 hour sessions a week is just enough time for the electrolysis operator to re-clear areas done in previous sessions and make a bit of progress into new territory, as an example of one strategy.  It still goes slowly at first, but, after a few months, you find that you are out of untouched territory, and the operator is re-clearing substantial parts of your face every week.

Then, one day you'll wake up to find that there's nothing growing on much of your face, and you'll be grinning ear-to-ear and doing a little happy dance.  Which describes this morning in my bachelorette pad...  ;)

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

WOW. I pay $60 an hour. So far I am about 14 treatments in. About $880 so far. I will probably need another 14 treatments, So I am looking at $1800 total. Kristy has removed most the hair from my chin and below the lip leaving the upper lip and the sides to do. The hair on the sides of my face are kind of sparse to begin with. Only about 20% of the hairs need more than 1 clearing.

I have had 6 sessions at E3000. Each session did a full face clearing using 2 technicians and were completed in one day or less per session. The maximum hours needed per session was the first at I think 14 hours (combined between both technicians), my recent sessions average ~7 tech hours for the face (I am getting other areas done at the same time). They say that the average client requires about 90 hours to free a face from beard hair and that straggler fine hairs will probably need an hour or so every month or so after that. I travel to Lewisville, TX once every 6 weeks for a face clearing. With my facial hair growth slowing due to hrt, I currently need 6 days of growth to let them cruise at full speed zapping the hairs (when I started I only needed 3 days). The first session created quite a bit of swelling that took several days to go down. My last visit had minimal swelling that was mostly gone the next day. Denise will request that you send in some close-up photos of your facial hair and she will be able to give a reasonable estimate of how many hours/days your first clearing will require.

In comparison, my local electrologist suggested an average of 300 to 400 hours for full removal of facial hair. I was only able to handle 1.5 hours per session then the pain got too much for me (should have gotten it done before hrt!). My simple math told me that 300 hours at 1.5 hours per week equaled forever. Between needing forever to get the process complete and my lowering pain threshold I chose E3000. Be prepared, the lidocaine injections REALLY sting but then they clear the whole face pain free.

Each to their own and I am happy for those that can get it done locally but that was not an option for me.

I had a heavy mostly gray beard.  I underwent 31 full face and neck clearings beginning in 2014 using flash thermolysis and later on using a combination of flash and blend modalities.  At the start I budgeted $10K for facial hair removal, a gross underestimate.  Of all the procedures and surgeries I've had done in my transition, facial hair removal was by far the most time consuming, painful, costly, and, I will say, frustrating.  Here is a detailed account of my sessions beginning with four full clearings at the Zukowski Center in Wilmette, IL followed by 27 full clearings by another electrologist in Chicago using just numbing cream and 600 mg of Advil.
