Hi,

I think I expressed my concerns in the past regarding my SRS results with Dr. Brassard. Hair in the vaginal cavity, clitoris that's hardly visible or not protruding, inflammation/redness, swollen lips, assymetry BUT I will say this:

- after reviewing hundreds of vaginas from ciswomen upclose and from every angle possible, I'm actually quite impressed with my results. It's certainly not perfect but quite close to the real thing. I will give the doctor two thumbs up for effort because let's be honest, it's damn hard to replicate nature.

Still, I want to correct a few things so that it looks even better and closer to what a ciswoman has. I do realize ciswomen's vaginas are not all alike but there remains a pattern that I want to emulate as closely as possible.

Dr. Brassard is now working with Dr. Bélanger and together, they offer several revisions, if needed. http://www.grsmontreal.com/en/surgeries/male-to-female.html (see Corrective Surgeries at the bottom of the page).

I will ask them to try and make my inner lips more symmetrical and thinner AND have a clitoris that protrudes a little more (but not too much, still want it to be discrete and small). I believe I have a clitoral hood and I'm satisfied with how it looks. I might also ask to make the outer labia more symmetrical as one side seems bigger (i.e. swollen) than the other. There are also genital scars on either side of the mons pubis and I'll see if there's any way of making them less apparent. I'm just hoping I'm not being too unrealistic or too greedy and that it won't end up worse than it was in the first place or that I might lose sensation.

Hairs inside my vagina are much less these days so I'm hopeful that soon they will be all gone. Would I have done electrolysis pre-op had I read the fine lines? Yes, most certainly.

The only thing I might have wished for was greater depth. I started with around 4.5-5 inches and I know some doctors can provide up to 7-8 inches. But, I read that the average depth in ciswomen is around 4.5 inches and if that is true, I have no reason to complain.

So, overall, I can vouch for Dr. Brassard. He's quite skilled at what he does. I give him an 8-8.5/10. Pretty damn good, if you ask me.

Will keep you posted on revisions, if I go through with them or not, how the intervention went, what the Dr. said, etc.

Thanks Kay for this update.
I am considering going with Dr Brassard for my SRS but I am still waiting for a psychiatrist letter and thus I can't for now ask Dr Brassard's clinic for quotation, time to wait before surgery, etc. :-(

My surgery in Montreal will be 14 years ago this March. It's hard to even remember those days now lol. But I am still pretty happy with my outcome. I'm just glad I delayed my surgery to invest into the genital electro.

No intervention except perhaps scar revision at a later date. He said there is a 50/50 chance it might turn out exactly the same.

He suggested I use Nair cream, a depilatory cream, to temporarily remove hairs inside my vagina. He said my my hairs were mostly at the deepest end of my vagina. He also said I hadn't lost that much depth despite not dilating for years. He  strongly recommended I start dilating again and said there is a good chance I will recover everything I lost.

I finally used the Nair cream, applying it with an *empty* applicator that comes with Canesten (for yeast infections). I used a small amount, like probably around 0.5-1 ml (cc). Waited 5 minutes, then jumped in the shower and cleaned thoroughly. My hairs are all gone. It worked! Quick fix for removing hairs inside vagina. No burning. Thanx Dr. B! ;)

Re: scar revision

I'm curious as to other's thoughts on this...

Should I just get a tattoo where the scars are, like on both sides? I think it would kind of be sexy but painful to do though...Perhaps, purple/dark wings of an eagle/butterfly on each side, would be symbolic and my fav color is purple.

So, did you douche to get the nair out of your vagina?

I think it's a good idea and I might do it depending on how my scars look. I'd probably choose some flowers or butterfly wings.

So, you put nair in the back of your vagina and just took a shower?  I have some skepticism about whether a mere shower would be sufficient to remove that.  But that is me; to each their own. :)

Removable shower handle, plenty of water aimed at vagina, plenty of soap, it was completely removed. Otherwise, I'd have pretty bad burns by now and would be in so much pain! The inside of my vagina is doing just fine. :)

Yea, that makes sense.  I have a shower handle that I use, too. :)  I still would have douched with saline, but that's me!
