It's pretty funny, but from my coming out to her to the point where she told me to leave, going through all the divorce proceedings, she never saw ME.

Heh!  The thought had crossed my mind.  Along with printing some 'Forever' stamps with my avatar shot on them.  I've been awfully polite about this, trying hard to not rock her boat.  Now, however, the divorce decree has been finalized, effective in June, and the court order to divide various accounts has been issued.  Once those accounts have been partitioned, I have no reason whatsoever to be concerned about offending her transphobic sensibilities.

My avatar goes on all my e-mail accounts.  The last of the account name changes gets filed.  No more 'deadname'! Frankly, this will be a tremendous relief.

I was divorced 6 years before I came out to anybody. The first time my ex got to meet Jessie was was at a meeting at my daughters school a year after I started my transition. She made a big production out of making sure that everyone knew she had never seen me in women's clothing before. After the meeting the school principal told me that my ex had tried to make sure I wasn't allowed to attend the meeting. I said I thought she didn't want me there because she was jealous because my boobs were much nicer than hers.  The principal said I was problem right a that I had pretty spectacular ones lol.
