Son says I am still a great dad,had a fun time together yesterday too

My son says I am a great dad still,loves and accepts Holly in and says I have helped him come out about himself.He is 15 years old and came out as genderfluid being male and female 3 years ago.I accepted it right away and support him.I told him we were going to have some time together sometime on Tuesday.I set an appointment for a photo shoot for yesterday.He went wearing a nice girl's top and skirt with a pair of wedges.I decided to wear a dark navy dress with heels.He was excited and the make up artist did a little make up on him.Did everything and loved it,was his first time and learned how to do it himself.Did my make up as well and also did this for my wife Jessica.Going to be her Mother's day present from us .My wife is a great step mom to my son supporting him as well.My wife is a post op transsexual and she loves my son and I for who we are.I am the only SO in her life that has loved her with no rejections at all.

  That was a wonderful bit of story. It is nice to hear the successes. There are too many sad stories out there to get us down and each of these stories like yours lift us back up a little.

It is and taught my son everyone is different in a good way.I was very heart broken hearing the rejection my wife went through before she met me.Her exes were very mean and cruel to her.I told her that I love her still no matter what when she told me when we started dating.

Good for you. Be thankful. My kids have been fantastic thus far as well as my wife. They understand the pain I've been living all my life. They told me no matter what, I would always be their Dad. Heck I have been for over 30 years. Great kids, greater adults and now parents of their own children.

His mom does not accept it with him being gender fluid and thinks it's a phase.I have told her it's not a phase and this is him.He lives with me now,mom told him not allowed in her house at all.His mom is also my ex girlfriend,we broke up because of relationship issues.
