I understand why non trans actors are used for stories set pre and post transition... i just wish someone would tell other kinds of stories about trans people too, other than coming-out stories

also the wigs Fanning is wearing looks awful, you'd think she could commit to the role enough to cut her hair?

Wow!  What a great idea!

Reminds me of the "Bechdel Test," proposed by cartoonist Alison Bechdel in the 1990s as a test to see whether a Hollywood film paid even minimal attention to women.  It was an easy test to pass.  You just had to ask yourself this: during this movie, are there two female characters who have a conversation about something other than a man?

Now maybe we need the "Peep Test."  During this movie, does a trans character have a conversation with any other character about something other than coming out or transition?

I think the Bechdel test also states that the female characters have to be named and the conversation has to last a certain amount of time/ words?
