I'd say when you don't need to do sitz bath anymore (any wounds are healed down there)

I am 5.5 month post-op.

If you're fully healed, then there should be no problem. If your are still bleeding or dealing with granulation, you should discuss this with your doctor. The ocean is a pool of bacteria and you don't want any wounds exposed to salt water.

I have scar tissue by the vaginal entrance. On either side is non scar tissue. Sometimes I can open a little flesh on either side of the scar tissue. I am treating it with hydrocortisone 2.5% prescription cream as per Papillion. I see them 5/15 for labialplasty. They are to review the scar tissue and either stay the coarse or prescribe estrogen cream.

I guess I should stay out of the water. I was going to rent a wave runner and do the beach but I guess I will just rent a large scooter or small bike and tour around for a while.

I guess there is a reason they created the phrase, "Better safe then sorry!"  I think I would rather forestall a simple pleasure for a bit rather than have to deal with some crazy complication.
