Hello I have a question I have been taking estradiol valerate in weekly injection for 3 months with along with spiro and prometrium.  The last time the doctor checked my levels my estradiol was at 1889pg/ml she suggested I cut my dosage  and i did.  One thing I noticed so far is on the 2 week interval it seems like my breasts have gotten really itchy and sensitive when they were not really that sensitive on the weekly dosage.  Has anyone had a similar experience with shots where increasing time between shots increased the effects?  She also recently increased my progesterone  well maybe it is related to that..I just wanted to hear from other folks.

When, relative to the time you got your shot, did you get a blood draw? Best to get the draw just before you inject.
Second, seven days is already a bit shaky of a dosage time for estradiol valerate. I do mine twice a week because I don't want the big dips. Reduce dosage, not frequency. By fourteen days, you have very, very little estrogen in your system, and then the big dose is a bit much in the other direction.

OH and the itching is probably the progesterone, it develops the breasts "under the hood" in internal ways, and the growth itches.

Nunni,

I do weekly injections and have noticed that by the 6th-7th day, I'm not in a good place mentally.  I'm trying to see if there is a correlation with my injection schedule because after I take my dose I'm better.

How would you describe the dips you experience?

Thanks

Only issue I have on the two week shot is mild grade nausea going into that second week that I really don't care for.

Nausea can be a sign that estrogen levels are dropping too low and often observed in women who have PMS.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience
