Hello everyone.

I have been recently looking into SRS options and from all the different ones around I was favouring having surgery with Dr.Kaushik who as many here already know does a variation on Rectosigmoid Colon. The somewhat easier dilation schedule in combiantion with some guaranteed lubrication makes it look like a very attractive choice to me and some of the member here who also went to this surgeon seem satisfied with cosmetic results, sensation etc.

I had recently mentioned my plan to my gynecologist who is also an expert in care for genital reconstruction patients and she was extremely appaled at the idea that this kind of surgery is even still done. In her opinion it is outdated and i was told that the few patients she has that had a variation of it done have extreme side effects. According to her all the horror stories that you can find about the surgery are true. Namely the vagina will smell of fecal matter and not only that fecal stones can form in the walls which have to be surgically removed if that happens.

I find it hard to believe all of this is all true. If it was as bad as i was told why would this procedure ever even have been practiced in the first place?
I am hoenstly at this point stumped, frustrated and not sure what to believe. It seems like i can not possibly make an informed decision on Genital Surgery seeing all the conflicting information out there.
It seems not even possible to find a consensus on simpel things like if you have to douche your new vagina or not.

What would really help me is some testamony from people who had said procedure done cause apperently doctors can't agree on what the facts are.
Have any of you experienced great problems and side effects after having Rectosigmoid Vaginopalsty?

Greetings.

I can't speak from experience, but here is a relatively recent article about it.

I don't think you're going to get a satisfactory answer to this. I've heard of women with problems and those without, and there's no clear reason why. Due to the lack of information available I personally think its a significant risk.

Of course there's going to be significant risk when cutting into the intestine.

Um I have no idea who u r attempting to educate but it can't be me ... it's risks in everything surgical when our penile inversions. All the girls I know personally and from reading around does not have all these issues some keep on whining bout. The penile girls try to make it seem as if over 50% of these colovaginaplasty chicks are having mishaps. Now when u show me receipts it's a majority issue with the kids your scare tactics not going to get any traction , sweetie

I am aware of added surgical risk in comparison to Inversion/Non inversive surgery, but my concern is more with limitations and drawbacks of the technique in general.
It is perfectly understandable that in a procedure liek this some peopel will experience complications but from what i have been told it makes it seem as if certai problems are bound to happen and only dont manifest in a lucky few cases.

First of all, we're not on the Real Housewives, girl. Relax.

I'm not trying to educate anyone, and I actually have nothing against colovaginoplasty. I agree that a lot of people make the risks out to be worse than they are. Would it be enough to stop me from having the procedure if I wasn't going to Suporn? Probably not. I think the idea of self-lubrication, depth, little dilation is incentive enough to outweigh the risks.

I don't need to show receipts when all I was saying is that an invasive surgery involves significant risk. Just as all of the techniques for SRS involve risk. That's all. I didn't say the majority of them fail or anything of the sort, nor did I say I am against the technique.

Come correct next time, how bow dah?

Thx for the link Lexi - lol reads like a "DIY".

Freedom and OP Blueberry I'm with you find anything 'alternative' interesting 'cause don't always like what I'm reading here.

Generally dislike therapists (mine is transgender herself), doctors and surgeries but can anyway translate, describe simply in plain Kings English exactly what this procedure entails ???
Colovaginaplasty topics are here. One whom recently got it and went in full detail (even if certain people were attempting  to attack her for her decision ).

The problem is that there's not enough information available to work out what's going on. With penile inversion or non-inversion (i.e. Thai) there's so much info around that you have a much better idea of what to expect (for better or worse). Still not nearly enough, but better.
