Hi Girls,

Last night I was getting romantic with the boyfriend of 6 years. We were having fun making out and all of a sudden he stopped me to tell me that my lips felt strangely soft. He said they felt amazing and we kept going! I was like "Hell yeah!" ... BUT! Is this something that can actually happen on HRT or he just trying to make me feel good? :P

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Much love. <3

Lips look redder and thicker since HRT.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Your ticker says that you have only been on HRT for a few weeks at the time you wrote this.

I would not expect a big change in lip size in that amount of time. Maybe the psychological effects of starting HRT is causing you to relax your lip muscles more, making your lips feel softer.

When I first started HRT my lips felt much warmer, but looking in the mirror, I did not see a big change.

Yes, your lips will change!  I was about a month on HRT when I noticed the change.  I was applying makeup, and when I got to the lip liner, I thought, "Hey, that looks different!"  At that point, I was part-time, and only applied makeup about once a week, so the change happened in the space of one week.

I'm jealous. My lips seem to look thinner to me.  I have no idea if they got softer or not. No one kisses me anymore. LMAO

I hadn't noticed any change in size just softness.. But maybe you're right! I haven't been on HRT all that long. :)

My lips look different to me.

The difference is subtle...I had a scar slightly off centre of the middle of my lip which meant when I tried Whilst putting on lippy to put the "dip" at the top of my top lip it always looked odd...the other day I noticed I can get it to look normal as my lip has thickened and changed ever so slightly but enough to make a difference and that is after only a year...nice outcome

I noticed it quite unexpectedly fairly early on ... it felt like I had a "fat lip" (kind of like it feels after getting some dental work) and then I noticed that my resting-b__ch-face had developed a bit of a "pout"  LOL

I kinda liked it, so I started doing "fish face" exercises to bring it even more, and ... yah ... really yah!

I just started seeing it also.  ;D My top lip is a bit fuller and they are more red all the time.
