I did something similar last week,
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,223027.0.html

I was feeling somewhat adventurous tonight, originally I was just going to take out the trash, but I thought "F-it, I wanna go for a walk." I was wearing a somewhat snug T-shirt and a black running skort. I walked around my block, it was after dark and I didn't see anyone. (Though I did set off a motion sensor light which probably took a good six months off my life) The last one felt anticlimactic, but this one felt really good.

I originally wasn't going to share this and I probably won't make a post for every little thing I do, but based on the number of views the last one got I'm guessing a lot of people want to do this vicariously. All I can say is do it, it feels great.

Hi E****

Good job!! Scary and thrilling at the same time even if no one sees you. Careful though if you start show a willingness to go out, you will attract the attention of those nags here and you'll be going into a store next.  Believe me. It can happen. Really. And they are relentless. I have personal knowledge of this.

  Hugs,

Yay!  The adventure progresses!  Each time it gets easier, I think.  We won't jump on your case about shopping just yet lol.

I've been out on trails and on my road bike, thinking I could stay anonymous.  Of course, I ran into an old friend on the trail (she diplomatically called me by my son's name as a first try, but I corrected her lol -- out to one old friend anyway!) and had to go shopping at Safeway accidentally.  The sky didn't fall, and I got a good story out of it.

We're on your team!
Randy

If so, then why not?

Good for you girl! All these little (not so little) steps take a lot of courage. It's lovely to see your confidence growing.

Peace and love and all that good stuff

Sadie.
