Can T cause mouth ulcers?

I started a somewhat low dose of T 3 days ago and since then, I have developed 3 mouth ulcers. One is from a bite to the cheek which obviously isn't caused by T, but the other two came out of nowhere and it's very painful to move my mouth in any way at all. They're all very swollen and eating has already become a chore.
Could T have done this? I've heard that hormonal changes can cause mouth ulcers, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.
I'm also struggling with a painful and swollen lymph node and just general symptoms of infection.

If you are talking Herpies, anything that upsets your bodies normal routine might cause the virus to become active. I suspect after your body adjusts to the new normal, the virus should come under control again. There are medications your doctor can prescribe that will control the breakout and they can knock it down in a few days.

Thanks Dena, I'll see if I can make it to the doctor. Already today they're much less painful and swollen than they were yesterday, so I'm thinking they might go away on their own.

Might want to get some good alcohol free mouth wash to kill the bad bacteria floating around in there.

I'm pretty sure T doesn't cause anything like that.

Trauma to the surface of the mouth will, though. Someone mentioned cold sores as well. They can be activated by any kind of biting/knocking trauma to the soft tissues that were infected previously. Anything that strongly stimulates the nerves can "wake them up" since the virus lives inside the nerve cells, waiting for them to be stimulated.

Um... if you're sexually active and you're experiencing mouth ulcers.. I'd definitely get that looked into.  Karposi's Sarcoma is a very real and very troubling development if that's what it is... not to be an alarmist.

Overall though, I've not heard of T itself causing ulcers, but stress can cause a viral breakout .. stress from transitioning, from hormone alterations, etc.

I'd just recommend discussing this in detail with your doc.

The issue resolved itself within a few days of this post, and I haven't had a problem with it since. Thank you for all your responses!
