Shout out to Texas House Speaker Joe Straus

I just learned like today that this loony toons Texas representitve named Lois Kolkhorst tried to send Texas back in time. She proposed a bill similar to what North Carolina did last year that would discriminate and make life miserable for transgender people regarding bathrooms. Needless to say that didnt play well. Buisnesses and such were very strongly agasint such a measure and it hurt NCs economy and the voters of NC are much more fair minded then their former Gov. and gave him the boot. Still, some polticians in Texas seem hell-bent on creating a social issues war then most. Not only did Kolkhorst try and revive a dead idea from another state Texas's own LG, Dan Patrick very strongly supported the measure and more then likely so did Gov. Abbot. Thanksfully, the Texas Speaker has more sense and is the only adult in that room and allowed that proposal to die out. Thanks you!
