Just got Surgery Date with Dr. Rachel Bluebond-Langner at NYU

I saw Dr Bluebond-Langner at NYU Plastic Surgery on April 4th. Everything went well. She is truly a special person!

I had (3) letters for the appt but the they felt the letter from my Endocrinologist needed to be a bit stronger since we're trying to get Medicare to pay for this.  I had it rewritten and Faxed it to them and then, waited and called, and waited and called . . .

Got a voicemail late yesterday from the practice telling me they were offering me 1/4/18!  I spoke with them this morning to confirm and everything was great. They apologized for the wait and said they were down a person in the office, which seemed very plausible, because they are always great to talk with and seem incredibly competent.

I'd asked for January because I have a great part-time job I'd like to hold on to and I would not be able to get off in the Fall without quitting. . .

They called yesterday and said a spot had freed up in August so I wont have to wait till January!!    Sure hope I can make a dent in the Laser treatment between now and August.  Looks like I only have 12 weeks. . .

Got a document in the mail from my Medicare secondary yesterday indicating they'd paid for my Surgery consult on April 4th.  I looked up the Billing Code and it says that a "Comprehensive Patient History" was mandatory for payment which means both Medicare and my secondary paid for a GRS Surgery Consult!!!!   Oh joy!  I know August 11th will be coming fast now.  So much to do. . . .
