So I was diagnosed with PCOS around a year ago, I don't have an extreme case of it but I am more hairy than average and a bit overweight, I also don't get periods at all except for one time when I was around 13, then it basically stopped altogether and I haven't had one since the doctor prescribed me Levlen which is like the pill and since I've been on that I've been getting monthly periods.

But I was just wondering, cause I haven't started taking T yet, when I do will I have to stop taking the pill? Cause I don't know if I can cause the doctor told me if I don't have a period for a long time the like uterine lining or whatever will build up and it can cause cancer or something, so I'm like really confused and cause I have PCOS will it stop me from being able to take T? Or when I start taking it will it not matter anymore? I've tried researching this online but I haven't really gotten the information I'm looking for : /

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years prior to starting T. I can honestly say that in my experience T has pretty much resolved any PCOS issues I was having previously. My mental health is 500% better no more mood swings. I have way more energy now. I actually lost about 15 pounds since starting T with the same amount of working out as I was doing pre-T. I would suggest that you make sure to let your doctor know that you've been dealing with PCOS, and you might really want to consider a Hysto early in your transition in order to avoid any chance of ovarian cancer. But a PCOS diagnosis should not stop you from being able to take T.

If the medication you're taking is hormone based birth control, you may want to reassess it. Most guys who need a form of birth control or who are having period issues on T end up doing depo provera shots. That is what my doctor recommends.

I had PCOS pre-T and it caused me no issues getting a prescription or on T. My T levels were just elevated to begin with. My period completely stopped less than 3 months on T, and I had no further problems. I had a hysterectomy prior to my bottom surgery and there were no issues with my uterus. The ovaries had lots of cysts on them, but they had cysts on them pre-T too. Nothing cancerous down there.

I have PCOS and I got prescribed T last week, I took my first shot today.
The only thing they did differently as a result of the PCOS was prescribing me a slightly lower dose than average, simply because I already have elevated testosterone and due to my history with heart problems, they didn't want to risk any possible problems.
