If Im asking for info that is not allowed to be posted Im sorry. If so I would appreciate a PM about my question IF that is allowed.

I understand from others that have gone to brassard that the set of dilators cost $300. Im pretty certain my pharmacist has a source for the exact same ones for half this price.
Now I still have to verify if brassards clinic will allow me to bring my own if they are the exact same ones and so I need to verify what brassard issues when you get them from his clinic.
Im very very insistant that they be EXACTLY the same ones even if thats not an absolute nessesity at his clinic.

I simply need info on this. If anyone can tell me the EXACT brand / model etc that would be very helpfull. Im assuming that there is going to be a UPC code on the box so thats what would probably answer my question the best.

I dont have alot of finances and so any money I can save without getting a different product would be a VERY good thing.

Also. My surgery is being covered by alberta health services and Im told by several people that albertas coverage will not cover this cost.
If anyone else that has had brassards GRS covered by alberta health services can verify that they do or do not cover the cost of dilators would be really nice to.

They are Soul Source GRS vaginal dilators. I didn't get them in an box, so I have no idea about that part, but if they're not Soul Source, they're the wrong ones - and if they are, they're the right ones, because Soul Source only makes one set. Brassard now issues the three largest dilators only (blue, green, and orange). Incidentally, since he only requires three of the set of six, the total price on the Soul Source site itself is roughly $150.

However, the dilators were included in the price for me as a private-pay patient; I didn't pay a single penny more to get them. So I would *definitely* recommend that you verify with the Alberta health services and the clinic whether it is covered. (I was there with two girls who had their GRS covered by Canadian health services, and the dilators were included, but I'm afraid I don't recall which province(s) paid for those two girls.)

Edit to add: I've been told it's OK to link to this one specific site to aid in GRS planning, so here you go. https://soul-source-sd.myshopify.com/collections/grs-vaginal-dilators It's the latter and larger three dilators on the site (excluding P1, P2, and the small purple one).

I will suggest to research  more from respectable and up to date sources. I'm from BC and our dilators were included, I don't  see why AB will not cover such important tool in this surgery.

Regarding dialators Soul Source is the online source recommended . The first two were provided at the first follow up appointment and we purchased 3 and 4 from Soul Source. Surgi Lube was suggested to us and it works great.

So Ive spoken to Brassards clinic a few more times now and have made major progress on my surgery date. But I'll post seperately about that.

I have absolutely confirmed that Alberta Health Services GRS coverage DOES NOT cover the dilators and post op meds....??? If anyone knows what sort of meds that means I'm curious and would like to know what sort of things they may give me.

Just FYI for anyone curious. This totals $300 including the dilators and meds. So anyone going the Alberta Coverage route has to buy them ourselves.

Yup different provinces different coverages.
I had to verify through 3 routes before I believed it.
One IRL associate. Brassards clinic. Alberta Health Services (AHS)... I didnt fully believe that they would cover surgery but not dilators until I heard AHS tell me them selves.

I still dont know if they cover the day before surgeries accommodations. Like the B&B and I only have 38 days to go.

I'm still in shock that brassards clinic told me on may 19th (last friday) that my date would be june 28th. Not even 1.5 months.
