I am on my second phase of FFS but it's a lower facelift and I know I don't need an 'ffs' surgeon but I also know a lot of us get a facelift post ffs. Anyone have a good one to recommend who won't break my already broke post ffs bank? I will travel anywhere if the results are worth it and they aren't too expensive. Thanks, girls! JuJu

Our faces are different than Cis Women's faces. Practice makes perfect. Don't go to a plumber for electrical. Work. Find someone who does this stuff over and over again on women like you. With that being said, if you're in the States, I'd think Braly, Lee, Spiegel and of course, the master of the assembly line, Dr. Zukowski who can probably do this stuff while he is sleeping.  I never understand why people (trans) take chances with these soccer mom nip an tuck guys.  You're asking for zero difference and possibly much, much worse.

The best place to get a good look at potential results is a surgeon who has a web site with before and after pictures. There are many good facial plastic surgeons who do not list FFS as their specialty, but many of the procedures are the same.

I live in the Miami area and we have a lot of good plastic surgeons here. We have a few high priced surgeons who offer more luxuries than other surgeons, but their results are no better. There are many medium priced surgeons who offer low cost or free consults. Stay away from the low cost surgeons, since there have been some deaths and I have heard of many unsatisfied patients.

If cost is a factor, consider a surgeon near your home. The recovery can take about a week and to recover in a hotel room for that time can be costly.

That's pretty much what I have seen in my country too.

I may give further insight on how I would consider price:

- First, get to know the average price for the procedure and if possible got it itemized, that is to say: how much is the doctor fee, how much is for the night on the hospital, how much is for further medical tests, how much is for the anesthetist, etc.

- Then, just by common sense give a reasonable margin to the average price. I would say something like 15%-20%.

- Once that done, to me any quote fairly above or below that margin over the average price might be suspicious.

- Too cheap: try to figure out why they're cutting down the price so much. It may be just the surgeon is charging less on his personal fee, or because they cutting down on medical costs that may put you at risk... It really depends, it's not always the same thing.

- Too expensive: while usually you get what you pay, don't be a fool and do research on what you really are paying for. You may be just paying more for marketing costs.

And as a last consideration, a guy who got the plastic surgery certifications is a guy who spent no less than 15 years of his life just in studying and training before even doing his first surgery without supervision (and they usually spent quite a few years more before opening their own medical practice).

Just my 2 cents tho.
