For best results, I should wait until 5 years of HRT before getting a BA, right?

So by, say, year 10 of HRT, I wonder how different one's breasts would look if one had a BA at 3 years of HRT, compared to if one had a BA at 5 years.  Would the breast growth that occurred between years 3 and 5 in the second scenario tend to make the augmented breasts look even more natural compared to in the first scenario, where breast growth occurred over the implant during years 3-5?

Well . . . I'm at year 17.  My breasts look about the same as they did at year 5.  Between year 3 and 5 there was growth, but not much. I'm getting surgery on Aug 11th and will likely go off spironolactone and finistride for the first time in 17 years. . . I'm hopeful I might get a little growth, as some women have reported after surgery, but I am not holding my breath. . . I'm fairly happy with my size. A bit more would be nice but I'd only consider fat redistribution as a method . . . but that's me. . . :)

I was supposed to have a BA with GCS. I had a complication and am having the BA 8 months after GCS. I have been on HRT for 5 years. I did not notice any breast growth after year 3. I am a 40 A. My implants are 550 cohesive silicone over the muscle (due to my muscle sits high).

I was stalled at work for 9 months to go full time or I would have scheduled the GCS and BA almost a year earlier.

Okay, so perhaps waiting for 3 years of HRT should be a good balance.  It seems like the folks who get growth spurts after 3 years often get them because they just had an orchie or SRS, and I can't really get an orchie or SRS before BA because BA and total body lift have to come first / at the same time, then SRS, due to the risk of a total body lift post-SRS disrupting the position of the vagina.

I Am Jess

I am 2 years 2 months on HRT and I had my BA at 6 months. I had GCS 9 months ago and since then I have seen some additional growth. Mine appear very natural and you can get an idea of what they look like in the post a bikini picture thread.

You have probably waited long enough girl. A good doctor will be able to place them so that if you do get additional growth it will still look ok. Don't go by what other tell you. See a good doctor and get his/her opinion on this.

Yeah, once 3 years have passed, I'll see a good surgeon about them.  Maybe Dr. Pousti, not sure.  I have this thing where mine look good in a bra, because they're being supported, but outside of a bra they're just shallow and look disappointing.  Here's a recent pic of me wearing a bra (beware: cleavage).  They look good there, but I just wish that they looked as good with my top off as they seem to look with it on.

I feel like mine have actually 'shrunk' since BA in 2012. I think they settled in and such. Definitely no new growth. I may go bigger next time. (10 years or whatever)

Don't believe everything you read.

I also used to believe to let Hormones do their full effect until BA. But you will never know WHEN the hormones effect is maxed.
Everyone has different results based on the amount of Hormones they take and their genetic makeup.

I asked my BA Surgeon who has over 25 years experience with Transgender people and he's never heard of such thing.
My Endo was the same way.
It's up to you how long you want to wait.

You have to be your own judge.

I decided to get BA at my 21 month mark on HRT and it was the best decision I ever made. I am a 42 Full C with 385CC per side and am told by Family and Friends if they didn't know me, they'd thought they were Boobs of a 25 year old.

The Surgery was flawless and I had ZERO pain or discomfort after. Just had to get used to the extra weight. ;)

I almost did the "Wait forever and see what happens" thing until I just asked around more and watched my growth prior to BA.

To each their own.
