Is there any HRT which a MTF can while maintaining fertility and function?

Function can be maintained on a regular HRT protocol, but will require monitoring. As for fertility, that would be a no.. Even without an antiandrogen, estrogen on it's own is sufficient to suppress sperm production.

If fertility is an issue for you, the best option would be to freeze sperm before starting HRT.

If only on bicalutamide, an anti-androgen, there is greater chance that fertility be maintained. But the feminization will probably be slight and you might suffer from too low sex hormones in the body.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

Its going to be a crapshoot.  You may maintain viable sperm while on HRT but more than likely you will nit

Are the chances of maintaining fertility with this very high?

That's an unknown, at least based on the various studies I've read. I wouldn't bank on it.

Banking sperm was less expensive than I thought, not dirt cheap, but very easy for me to maintain, a couple hundred per year (at least here, US). Prices seem to vary a lot though, googled around. It's hard to find the pricing information as well, and as I said, was cheaper than expected, thought it'd be $40 a month based on my googling.

Better than on estrogen and other anti-androgens. That's all I can say. No guarantee though.
