How can I meet transgender friends in San Antonio, Texas?

I didn't truly know how to word this question, so I'll explain what I mean.

I googled for groups around where I live but nowhere has a meet and greet or anything like that.
I just recently came out(to a few friends and my mom) and I would really like to meet some others who are in my shoes or even further down the line(I'm pre-t and pre-op). However, the only way I know how is to go to tumblr or instagram, but I prefer to meet someone near me.
Everywhere I search online, there are apps but those are dating apps and I just want a friend to talk to about all of this so we can support each other.

The only reason I want a friend that's near by is because in the last year, as I became depressed(because I was still in the closet and not being able to be myself was the worst thing ever), I stopped going out with my friends and now I don't even text them. I still have supportive friends from my home state but I could really use someone I could hang out with. The only reason I would prefer that person be transgender is because they will understand what I'm going through and I'd be able to talk to them about things like binding, packing, changes we notice on T and not gross them out.

So is there a way to actually meet other transgendered people around me? Or maybe a website where I can find a meet and greet? I only found one group in my area and they only hold meet and greets for the youth and the Maximum age is 17(I'm 19). I live in San Antonio, Texas so if you know of a group here please let me know. It's hard to go through this with only the internet to talk to(well, I see my therapist for the first time on Friday, yay!)

Oh and you might change the headline of your thread so it includes San Antonio.
So people from your region are more likely to look and answer.

Hey Gmata! I don't think the original poster is still using the site, when I went to their profile it said they were last active in september of last year. But in case you're interested.....

I sometimes live in the area. By that, I mean that's where I go when I'm on leave because it's where I'm from, and I'm hoping to get back there on my next PCS.
I'll be around probably in late july/ early august if you want to do a one time "hey, how's it going?"
Now that I think about it, I'm supposed to go tubing on the Comal with a buddy when I get back, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you wanted to join us. I can even see if he maybe has an extra tube. If not, there's always coffee shops and whatnot.
It wouldn't be for a couple months and I don't know any exact dates when I'll be home yet, but you can message me if you're interested, it would be cool to just hang out.

The meet up you spoke of sounds great it's awesome to finally find someone going through the same things all as me and near me. I see you are in the army what is your MOS?
