Hey everyone.

There is a small white mass near the urithra.  For a while I assumed it was a flora growth, but now Im thinking it may just be a stitch that went bad and came out. Or maybe it's a boil ?

Either way, its been bleeding some and my thigh is a bit warm and stiff on that side.  I'm still on antibiotics, and Im taking a couple ibuprophine each day.  Has anybody seen this before ?   Will it be ok ?   Thanks

If for some reason you are unable to see a doctor for a look, take a picture and email it to your surgeon. Most likely it is a stitch as often they take about 6 weeks to come out but there are other possibilities.

I would definitely see a doctor or email the surgeon just for peace of mind, but it's probably fine, since all sorts of weird stuff happens in the early days. (I had dissolving stitches, which is the norm these days, and I only rarely *saw* a stitch... and they weren't white. [They were also all supposed to be gone by 1-2 weeks in.] However, a stitch that popped and left a bit of tender skin underneath might well look and feel like that.)

Thanks for the replies.

The surgeon has seen it a few times during routine checks.  It wasn't bleeding at the time, but I guess its probably normal and will go away with some time.  My surgery was done with a mix between disolving and non disolving stitches.  He took a large length out yesterday.

Wish me luck on the fligh back home tonight !  I'm scared it will hurt, but at least I will be back home

Thanks Bubbles !

The hospital I healed in after surgery gave me a small intertube to sit on.  Its not comfy, but I guess it will do.  Did you sit on a pillow ?

Hey I actually didn't bcz i was in hospital for a month bcz i had a number of surgeries including gcs and my gcs was healed the most when going home. It was still uncomfortable on the way home but i sat on the little blanket thats given on flights and that helped a lil bit. Maybe the flight crew have a comfortable pillow you could sit on or something soft. Hopefully you will be fine.  ;D
