I've posted about my issues getting a surgery date with Dr. Dugi, but I've had better luck getting a breast augmentation scheduled. I've been on hormones for a long time but never got the amount of breast development I wanted, and after a large weight loss I was even less satisfied. I had a consultation back in February with Dr. Jens Berli, one of the plastic surgeons at OHSU's transgender program (he does augmentations, FTM chest surgery, and facial feminization) and really liked him. He was very straight forward about what he could do and spent a long time talking to me about what I wanted out of surgery. We agreed on silicone implants, over the muscle, in the 425 to 450cc range. Anyway, I will be having surgery June 15 and will of course give an account of my results after. It's been a long time since I've had a transition related surgery, so it's sort of bringing back old memories lol. I am looking forward to being able to fill out a bra better and to shopping for cute new tops.

Hi Autumn,

I hope everything goes as planned on the 15th. I am interested in following things up at OHSU as I am also in the area and may have need of their services down the road. If you don't mind my asking is this by any chance going to be a medicare covered procedure?

Hugs,
   Laurie

It might be, and I think Medicare will pay, but in this case my husband's insurance is covering it.
