Travelling home after SRS?

I have just booked my SRS with Suporn. It isn't for about 18 months, but I was curious travel details and want to be prepared.

I'm lucky that I live relatively close to Thailand. It will be around a 7 hour flight if I fly direct or around 10 hours with a stop-over. A stop-over would be good so I can walk around, right?

Does anyone know how necessary it would be to fly back home in business or first class? Will I get by comfortably with a donut pillow in economy? I'd rather sit with my parents in economy but I don't want to be in agony.

I remember reading from another Suporn girl who had to travel for around 22 hours back to the US after SRS, and it was basically horrific.

What's recommended for flying home after SRS?

I never went to Suporn but my flight home after GCS was 16 hours i think and i sat in economy and it was horrible. If i had to do it again i would go business. I never used the donut but used a blanket they gave me on the plane to sit on but there was hardly any leg room and the blanket wasn't really the best. In saying that, you could also go economy and just get up and walk around when having feelings of discomfort.

Based on what I've read I'd go business class if you have the money. Post-op experiences vary dramatically, especially with Suporn, and you've no way to know how you'll be feeling by then. You might be fine, you might not, but do you really want to risk it? And while its nice to be with others business class more than makes up for it even without the surgery.

I'd also stay the full length of 30 days rather than 24 for the same reason. You hear of quite a few women getting revisions at2 or 3 weeks post-op with Suporn (its a good thing).

A month post-op I took a 24 hour economy flight home. I had a tender scab from a surgery complication on one of my labias... so I was pretty worried.. and with good reason.

After it was over, I had horrible heat rashes around the entrance to my vagina, and infection had set back in a few days after.  The eceonmy bathroom was extremely dirty too (urine in the floor & on the toilet seat.. )

To be honest I'm not sure if I would have recovered if it were not for reading about hydrocortizone spray in a different thread..  it took care of whatever was wrong.. be it heat rash or the start of granulation. But please please be careful, as I also read it disolves stitches too.  I didnt spray a bunch each time.
