How should I start out? A few hours at a time? I used to have a binder years ago when I was smaller in size. I don't remember much more than it was itchy after a while. It was not a good binder. I also bought it second hand. But now I've bought from gc2b. I hope it will be a better experience.

I've read that it is not supposed to interfare with breathing. Will it hurt? I'm ok with a little sqweezing. How much pain is normal in the beginning?

My binders come from Underworks, and they feel like I'm in a tight hug.  They don't really interfere with my breathing all that much, but I try to take a few deep breaths every now and then to make sure I'm getting enough oxygen when I wear one.  Usually I forget about it for a while once its on.

I'm sure you've heard people say, "if it hurts, take it off."  Mine never really hurts me, but they CAN become uncomfortable after a while.  Its like wearing a bra for too long, after a while you just want to take it off.

I'd wear it until it gets to that point.  Don't think about it, just put it on and go about your day.  When it starts getting uncomfortable, take it off.  It might be a couple of hours, it might be an hour.  Its important to pay attention to your body's signals, if its saying, "take it off!" do so.

(Everyone, did I forget anything?  Its 7:32am and I'm half-asleep. [emoji28] )

Good luck and happy binder-wearing!

If you have a lunch break or something in the middle of the day, take it off for a few minutes and let your body breathe.

If you require an inhaler or anything, use it before or after wearing your binder.

Adjustment period is around 1-2 weeks depending on how often you wear it. Always take a day off from wearing it if your body needs it.
