A home hair removal device that does actually work if

So I originally bought a Remington IPL device. It thinned my facial hairs on my cheeks and neck so it wasn't a waste of money. Around my chin and up to my lips it hasn't kept it thinned there.

So I bought one of the oldest home electrolysis kits on the market. The Clean+Easy Electrolosis machine. It does work! Here's the but......

You need impressively steady hands to use it on yourself. Using a magnifying mirror to work on my own face a bit yesterday (my first time trying it) I did have some success. The trick is to find the hair's pore and push a bit. The needle will slip in. It is however pretty easy to miss the hair's pore and find it placed in one with no current hair growth. Hence the need for extremely steady hands. When you hit the right pore it does work as it should. After about 15 seconds a thick puss colored fluid will be coming out of the pore. This is the reactant of the current and salts forming lye. The hair will almost fall out if you got it by just a touch of the tweezers.

The good:
It actually works, hairs are killed. Takes about 15-30 seconds depending on the current setting.

The bad:
Must have steady hands to guide the needle.
Although the needle is blunt if you push to hard you can draw a bit of blood.

All in all it seems a good deal for cleanup work or if you have ALOT of time to work on yourself. Takes just a 9 volt battery. Seems effective at a low current setting. Not much pain at a low setting. Kind of like a mild sting. Cost less than $40 US.

Might be easier if you had a freind and could work on each other. If you trust them that is lol.

It's galvanic which means the person being treated has to be in contact with the device for it to work. It's the slower of the processes and in a professional environment, they would insert multiple needles at the same time so you zap more than one hair at a time.

Congratulations on the discovery! Yes, self-electrolysis does work and is easier than most people probably think. I also do believe you're right in that finding someone else to work with can be a good option.

If you are brave and nimble enough, getting a professional electrolysis machine is even more efficient. Good used ones can sometimes be found for not much more than a few electrolysis sessions. That said, it might be prudent to read a few textbooks (Michael Bono's is excellent) and practice on other areas before treating the face.
