So as planned I told my parents yesterday, It was a lot lot harder then I thought it was going to be, well finding the actual words at least. Once I found the words after a lot of long awkward pauses I couldn't stop, it was awesome, liberating and an amazing moment that I was able to share with them. Both parents were very loving and accepting, also very supportive, after the initial telling other famliy that knew came over and that's when I asked my mother for a name, she said I had to pick my own, but that she would have named me Brianna had I been born a female, sooooo I told it's settled I have a name! Tears and hugs and all that other stuff later and the day was almost complete. Now came the part of telling my MTF girlfriend, I already knew this was going to be the bigger issue and well it was, long story short with her we will be splitting, as we are both on the lease she said she will sign me off and asked that I be out in a week. At least I have that...  In short there was some good and some bad, but overall it was a good day... but then again I am suppressing the emotions about my girlfriend as I'm afraid to breakdown as I now have a lot to get done in a week. But hey I have a name and my stepdad said I could take his last name, which is great as I hate my current last, especially since my birth father never accepted me.

Love to you all,
Brianna :)))))))

Congratulations on coming out. When I told my wife it felt like a heavy weight was taken off my chest. It's a great feeling. Now starts the next chapter of your life. Stay positive.

Congratulations!  Coming out to family is a huge step.  How nice that your parents are supportive.  Reading that gave me a warm glow.

Sorry about your girlfriend.  I am sure that that hurts, even if it was not a total surprise.
