Things are definitely looking up for the trans community in Ontario, where I live.  In just this past week, we've had an announcement from the provincial government about a new transgender surgery clinic in Toronto, along with the federal government passing bill C-16, which provides for LGBQT rights.  And last year, the provincial government opened up the trans assessment & referral process to more practitioners.  All this on top of GCS being covered by our health care system.  All in all, it sounds pretty good to me.
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Ontario has definently gone down the right direction. We have come a long way  from funding just about everything and opening services compared to the days of Mike Harris when things for transgender people were getting gutted during a time of hard persecution and lack of education about the LGB let alone us T's
