Need Honest Opinions

Hey everyone,

It's been forever since I post, but I really need some second opinions / input.

I've been on HRT for almost 5 years and I've decided I wanted to finally have FFS done.  All my family and friends say I shouldn't have anything done and that I look fine as is.  But for the longest time I've been wanting to have my chin done.  I sent a request to a plastic surgeon, regarding the chin surgeory, and he agreed, of course.  However he also had a list of recommendation as well which were:

Orbital Forehead Contouring
Rhinoplasty
(small) Check Implants
Thyroid Cartridge Shave
Fat Augmentation lips

Now I know I don't need the Thyroid shave, because I think I hide it pretty well already.  Also I'm not really worried about the lips either.  But before I didn't think I needed the forehead, nose, and cheeks done either.  However, after getting the recommendations I started to see how I could benefit from it.

So, one side my family / friends don't think I need anything done, and the other side the Dr thinks I could benefit from a few procedures.  I'm hoping to find a neutral non bias opinion, because it's hard to find one from the other two source.  I mean without a doubt I want to have my chin done, but do you think I could benefit from any other procedures as well?  You can find my pictures at the following link:

Greatly appreciate any input,

First off, girl you look great!  You have a very petite face.  You are very pretty just as you are.

You are the one who will have to wear your face forever.  Do ONLY what YOU want done.  If YOU feel that trimming your chin will make you happy, then do JUST THAT!

Most any plastic surgeon will recommend more than you think you need.  It's part of the business model.  But they will only do what YOU want.

The point of the surgery is to make you happy with who you are.  And if that is all that YOU think you need then that is all you need.

Simple as that.

You are cute.  :)

You're fine as you are, but you will look sexier with puffier lips. I'd listen to the doctor, he's a pro in improving appearance.

As Sandy just said, you need to be happy with whatever you decide.

My first thought is why would the doctor even suggest a tracheal shave? You have no visible raised cartilage on you voice box. That's a super common add on procedure but I can't see where it would do anything for you.

I think your chin and jawline looks really good as it is. You have no widening of the jaw or squaring of the jaw angle and no widening of the chin. Seems your chin sets nicely with the rest of your face line.

Your nose is narrow and the lower angle to the face line is right where it should be. Doctors will want to take your bridge of the nose and make it concave. That is up to you. It's a nice nose.

The only area I would see as a maybe would be the small forehead ridge. It's definately small enough to be any cis woman's face but absence of a ridge just takes away doubt that a person might be trans. Contouring the ridge away and also at the same time the upper eye socket orbital rims will make you look different. Really if you feel a change is needed I'd choose to get a brow ridge removed first.

Again, you must be happy with your own face. You have avoided most any masculinization of your face so feel good about that! Many have to look into much more in depth procedures if they want to change up their facial appearance. Honestly trimming those eyebrows girl would make a difference. Just shaping them a bit will open up your eyes.

You are cute and already passable.

You have a very pretty face, and you pass very well just the way you are.  I can see where you are coming from with wanting your chin done.  But don't agree to any other procedures unless YOU want them done.  You don't need them.

I completely agree with the Rhino/Forehead work, as while these aren't particularly masculine features on your face, they're not particularly feminine, either.  Moving them to the strongly feminine will potentially have a greater impact on your appearance than the chin job (which will also really help).  Cheek implants will also help to balance everything else.  You'll go from passable to pretty damn stunning, imo.

You say you can "hide" your trachea bump, which implies it's something that still needs hiding.  Get it done.

I disagree with the lip augmentation -- what's really going to make a difference is a lip lift, as the length of your upper lip is more a tell than its lack of projection.  Especially because it will look even longer after you have your chin shortened.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

To jump on the bandwagon, you look beautiful, hon.

That said, I can see from the side profile that the ridge reduction would help, and may possibly negate the need for nose work.  I think a lot of cis girls contour the heck out of their nose, and if you did half the amount some do, it would look like you got it done anyway.  I think that's more your personal preference than a need to change it.

And yes, the eyebrows could be waxed/threaded, and this would add so much femininity to your already girly features.

Do you have any photos of the face type you'd like to achieve?  And I do NOT mean in a painful "I wish I looked like her" way, but rather, a template or a general idea of the shape and size and features you want?  I know it's a far more significant endeavor than getting your hair done, but I always have photos of hairstyles to land me in the ballpark of what I'm going for.  This could also help the surgeon known how to work, so you don't come out of surgery with a result that vastly differs what you want.

Again, you're beautiful.  I feel the need to wear makeup now, as my features really haven't started to change yet.  Any work you do will be a bonus.

Much love,
Aria

All surgeries will leave a scar some place. It may be hidden well, but there will be a scar.

I would not recommend any surgeries on your face, unless you are willing to accept the possibility of a bad result.

Think about it.
