Just wondering the test I just had was a Total Estrogens tests about 6 days after my last estradiol injection.  The way I understand it is e2 is more important but shouldnt your total level be important as well?

Total estrogen includes estrone which is a pretty worthless hormone when it come to feminization. It takes between 10 and 14 time the estrone to have the same effect that estradiol has. You can figure out the numbers because total estrogen=estrone+estradiol. Doctors look at total estrogen for safety reason however if you want to know whats going on in your body, estradiol is the main player.

Knowing what your E2 (or total E) level is will not reveal much expect that at point X, your levels were this. The range in ciswomen is quite wide, we aren't ciswomen and everyone reacts differently.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

The actual blood levels are not that important. They just need to be in the normal female range. Estradiol is the only estrogen that many of us are concerned about.
