Not sure what I look like anymore

Is weird but I am becoming to wonder what I actually look like these days. Sure I see the same person in the mirror but is what I see the same as what other people see. My wife says she doesn't know what I look like because she sees me everyday. I wonder whether it is obvious whether I am on hormones or not to others.

I think video film (just add 10 lbs) is what a person really looks like. Pictures don't do it right because of angles and lighting, and we're seeing reverse reflection on the mirror. I use two mirrors to see me in truer form (back to back). Our eyes adjust to make us think we're more attractive than the true form (that psychology; seeing the same object every day). I don't do the two mirror thing on the daily though, maybe every other year.

Video camera, and comments about my look is how I know what I really look like. A guy yesterday told me I was a very beautiful man (he is a co-worker and we in a group were eating out).

Try videoing yourself, or let your wife do it. That should give you a realistic view of yourself.

Because of gender dysphoria, I always thought I was hideous looking, hated looking in the mirror or at photos, but if I see a video of myself I feel mollified. I suppose I don't relate to the person in the video so can be more objective.
