Reporting these figures is totally voluntary by law enforcement agencies.  Alabama for example, repored no hate crimes.  Many hate crimes are not reported by the law.  Additionally, only one in 7 hate crimes is ever reported to law enforcement agencies.  Victims are afraid of retribution, exposure, or any other number of reasons.

That's where we are Karen..... we don't even make it to the list.
