So I thought I'd share my experience and outcome with the group. I hope it is useful to some of you... Im 39 and from Australia. I went along to a face-to-face consultation in December 2016 when FT were doing their round of visits to other countries. Whilst I knew that when I looked at my face I could see "masculine" features I wasnt really able to put my finger on what features or parts of my face that made it so.

So then I had the consultation with Dr Simon. He was really very good at explaining what he was seeing and advising what he recommended for my situation. Dr Simon also picked up that I had a deformity in how my upper and lower jaws were. He gave me a number of options - which also included going externally to FT. I really felt there was a lot of integrity in Dr Simon and I felt like I was getting a very professional objective opinion. Less than 24 hours later I received a written opinion and quote for the procedures FT recommended to undertake.

I chose to stick with just what FT could do for me, which did present a difficult challenge for them because my chin was almost non existent and very recessed. After making the decision to go ahead with the surgery, there was a bit of a mix-up in communication regarding the surgery date, however FT did their absolute best to accommodate me as soon as they could which ended up being only one week later which actually ended up working out better timing wise for me and my wife.

So we headed off and flew into Malaga very late on the 8th April, we were greeted by FT's friendly taxi driver at the airport and he took us to our accommodation early early morning of the 9th. We caught up on some sleep after the 38 hours of travel, then spent the day in a very relaxed way checking out the local port district at Marbella.
On the 10th I had my pre operative consultation with the Surgeons and had the MRI scans, blood tests and photographs taken. This takes up a fair amount of the day - but the grounds of the Marbella HC hospital are very beautiful, and a nice place to sit and take it all in. Any anxiety or concerns were lain to rest at my consultation with the surgeons.

My surgery occurred on the 11th, after checking into the hospital and getting changed into the gown, Dr Capitan marked my neck for the incision for the tracheal shave, but there wasn't a lot of time to sit around and wait - they came to get me to take me to the pre-op area right on 9am. The procedures I had were forehead reconstruction with a slight elevation of the eyebrows, orbital rims, jaw sculpturing, chin advancement and tracheal shave. I spent two nights in hospital and they also were able to accommodate my wife staying in the room with me - which was very important for me.

I was extremely fortunate, my recovery was very swift, and my memory is a little hazy due to the anesthesia, although I had some significant neck pain from sleeping on an incline. The complementing acupuncture therapy really helped - I couldnt recommend it more! The other complementing therapy worth mentioning is the lymphatic drainage massage. Although there are only two included sessions from the therapist - my lovely wife continued to do it a few times per day. This kept the swelling, pressure and bruising down significantly for me.
I was able to start doing day trips into Marbella's port on day four I think. However I was taking a slow walk down and catching the taxi back after dinner.

On the 20th I had my final consultation with the Surgeons and they were very pleased with their work. I had the stitches removed from my scalp and neck. We departed the following day.

Honestly, this experience couldnt have turned out better in my wildest dreams. Facial Team are a bunch of rock stars in my view!

Did you have the brow ridge worked on?
Sometimes I get curious about FFS.
I just can't tell what a doctor would think. I would love to have a professional judge my head haha
