I am 90% certain that I will be leaving for Florida next Friday. I still have to find out for certain that one client will be covered.

The first weekend will be spent with Randi's friend Susan and then I'll be dropping them off Sunday at the Port of Miami for a one week cruise. I'll pick them up again the following Sunday and we'll head home.

I want to visit some friends in Winter Park and maybe do some beach camping in the Keys, but mostly I'll be knocking around the state.

Anyone want to meet up?
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Have I great time Dee. I like you putting out the word that you will be available to meet others. I would raise my hand but I don't think we could make it happen. Oregon is so far away from Florida. Perhaps we can meet another time.

I hope you get mant takers on your invitation because meeting others like us and sharing  stories and thoughts face to face is an awesome experience. I plan to continue to try and meet other as I gallivant around.

Again I wish you a great vacation an many awesome encounters. Don't forget the sunscreen.

Thanks, Laurie! We may get to meet. If Randi and I cease to cohabitate ( :-0 !) then the Great North West is on my short list for new locations. Florida is at the top but politics and Randi's connections to the area make Florida troubling. If we don't completely split it's on our travel bucket list. We have a good friend in Vancouver.

Cool Vancouver is less than 30 miles away.

I'd rather see you and Randi stay together than have that your reason for coming to the PNW. I'm sure you would prefer that too.

I most definitely would, but things are a little ambiguous right now. She says that she wants a divorce but doesn't want anything else to change, not that we've had any kind  of sex in over three years. Boobs squick her. She's supportive but only uses she/her when speaking to strangers. With all of that she's still the love of my life. I guess I'm having as much difficulty adjusting as she is. Right now she's sitting next to me in the loveseat ordering things for us from Sephora. I honestly hope that she has a fling on her cruise. I could tolerate that and I want her to be happy. It would also bring me some closure.

Vacation has begun! We're cruising down the NYS. Throughway. First major brake will be stopping for dinner with friends who just moved to North Carolina. They're our oldest friends. We were their best man and maid of honor and they were ours. They accept me completely. Mike has said that if I have ANY trouble in NC he will deal with it!

Dropped Randi off at her cruise ship this morning then spent the rest of the day driving up to Titusville. I'm booked into the KOA campground until Wednesday. I'll see some friends in Orlando and play beach bunny (bikini pics coming) until then.

Lol Dee

The ones you are suppose to be working on. Even I got a little suntan on body parts that hadn't seen the sun in decades.. Now get out there and get to work on them. Don't forget the sunscreen.

No sisters down in Florida volunteering to show you around? That a shame. You would think a couple living down there would want to meet another one of us from Susan's. I know there have to be some living in Florida.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

Dee,

I am in the Miami area.

We are now having a few rainy days because of TS Emily. The storm should be gone by Wednesday.

Feel free to PM me.

I'm back from vacation and more than a little tired  because we got home much later than planned.

The end of my vacation was great! I met up with Dani and we had lunch at a place she hadn't been to and wanted to try. We agreed we'd probably never go back. We had a great visit! The next day I picked up Randi and we began two days of dragging our feet. We took her friend home and we all had lunch then drove to Florence, S.C. The next morning we met friends for brunch, in N.C. then went to our favorite winery for tastings and a mixed case.

I wish I could take today off to rest but it's not possible.

Hi Dee,

Welcome home! I'm glad you did get to meet with Dani and I really hope it was as good an experience for both of you as it was for me. I am still in awe of all the mix of folks I was able to work into my wandering traipse across country and back. I'm also glad to hear that you and Randi made it home safely. I hope you did eventually get to enjoy the beaches and sun while you were there in Florida.

  Hugs,
   Laurie

Oh, I did! The weather was bad the first Monday but I went to see friends inland. One of them is trans but doesn't come here, her roommate is a writer. She loves him dearly but he has no interest in relationships.  It rained a little most days but that's Florida in August. Next time maybe I'll do the gulf coast.

Dee,

I will admit the rock band sang off key and the waitress was incredibly slow. But the fish sandwiches were delicious.

What do you expect for a bay front roadhouse bar and grill ?

Better music. [emoji6] The waitress was excessive but not surprising. As to the fish you told me yourself that excellent fish is the minimum standard in your area. With so many good places to eat why bother with one with faults?

I'm going to start a flame war here.  >:-)

As a New Englander, I am going to posit that minimum standards on seafood increase proportionally to latitude.  :P

Sorry, Devlyn as a Michigander (well now a Michigoose), a state known for fishing and eating the results, I have to say that South Florida is much more consistent. Massachusetts has some excellent seafood, I love fried lobster, but I've also had some of the worst there.
